By purchasing the ticket, you (“Ticket Holder”) agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of sale specified herein and any other provision as may be specified by Pressure Point Escape Rooms (“Escape Room Owner”) from this time. Pressure Point Escape Rooms, their agents or employees shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, loss, damage however caused while in the venue, location or place related to Pressure Point Escape Rooms Escape Room (“Site”) nor are they liable for any complaints, claims, refunds, or exchange for any reason, including without limitation, cancellation or postponement of Pressure Point Escape Rooms. Booking fees and handling fees shall not be refundable. Any refunds shall be made only at the management’s discretion. Tickets are sold subject to the following conditions:

 

General

1. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.

2. The trademarks and logos displayed on the website are the property of the Pressure Point Escape Rooms company. Use is not permitted without the written consent of Pressure Point Escape Rooms and such use will constitute an infringement.

3. The company collects and stores your personal details without disclosing it to any 3rd party and is dedicated to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

4. The website may contain hyperlinks to third party websites. The operation of those websites is out of the company’s control and are used at your own risk. The company accepts no liability for any damage arising out of any use of those websites.

5. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, Pressure Point Escape Rooms disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties, merchantability or fitness for the operation of the Pressure Point Escape Rooms escape room game. Pressure Point Escape Rooms does not warrant the reliability, accuracy, completeness, current or error-free of the product, content and materials included, used or deployed on the Site. If a product, content or material is not as described, you expressly waive the right to claim any damages and/or losses including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages derived from such use or reliance of the description of the product, content or material.

 

Onsite & Game Play

1. The game(s) is designed for a team of 2-6 people per room.

2. All players must be 12 or over.

3. Any player who is aged under 18 must have an adult on site at all times. Failure to do so will result in cancelling the booking upon arrival. 

4. Upon booking you have agreed to participate, join, enter, use, play and/or access Pressure Point Escape Rooms at your own risk. Pressure Point Escape Rooms expects visitors not to disclose any details of the game directly or indirectly to the public.

5. Upon booking you agree to behave, conduct, perform, carry out, execute, achieve and complete the Pressure Point Escape Rooms escape room game in accordance to the instruction, command and rules specified by Pressure Point Escape Rooms employees. Failure to do so Pressure Point Escape Rooms, including employee or agent shall have the right and power to decline or refuse your entry to the Site.

6. Pressure Point Escape Rooms shall exercise the right to charge you for any damage, which is intentional or caused by misuse of items.

7. All items including but not limited to your personal belongings, objects, luggage, baggage, watches, wallet, items and/or property, shall be kept by you at your sole risk. In any event, Pressure Point Escape Rooms, including the employee or agent shall not be held liable or responsible for any loss of your personal belongings, stuff, object, luggage, baggage, watches, wallet, item and/or property, either within the Site or outside of Site. The risk of loss for your personal belongings, objects, luggage, baggage, watches, wallet, items and/or property shall be borne by you upon entrance on the Site or engagement with the Pressure Point Escape Rooms business.

 

Bookings

1. Only person(s) who are at least 18 years of age are permitted to book a Game.

2. All pricing is outlined on the website or may be requested over the telephone. Pressure Point Escape Rooms has the right to amend the pricing structure without prior notice.

3. Game pricing is set according to the group size (between 2-6 people).

4. Bookings can be made online, by phone or via email.

5. Full payment is required at the time of booking. If booking is made over the telephone full payment must be made immediately.

6. All bookings are final and any amendments/alterations are at the discretion of Pressure Point Escape Rooms management.

7. Only one type of discount or offer can be used within a single transaction. Pressure Point Escape Rooms management has the right to refuse any discount or offer if the ticket holder is deemed to be misusing the offer applied.

8. Games may not be transferred or resold for commercial purposes or at a premium. If a Game is transferred or resold in breach of this condition, the bearer of the Game or the person claiming the right to attend the event will be refused admission to the game.

 

Safety

1. You shall not enter the Site under the influence of drugs or be intoxicated. Failure to adhere will result in Pressure Point Escape Rooms employee or agents reserving all rights and power to decline or refuse you entry to the Site. All rights are reserved to take the necessary legal action to ensure reputation of the Pressure Point Escape Rooms business remains intact and guarded against any risk or harm towards the Pressure Point Escape Rooms business. All losses, damages or legal costs derive from such incident shall be solely borne by you.

2. We encourage you to wear suitable attire including but not limited to footwear and clothing before the commencement of the Pressure Point Escape Rooms game.

3. Pressure Point Escape Rooms does not tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment towards its employees.

4. No food or drink is permitted within the escape rooms.

5. All players aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is on site at all times. Failure to do so will result in a Pressure Point Escape Room employee declining the team to stay on site and play, resulting in immediate cancellation of booking.

6. All players must be aged 12 or above.

 

Video & Photographic Materials

1. Video recordings are used within the game rooms but for surveillance purposes only.

2. On occasions, we will look to utilise video recordings to create promotional tools but will only do so upon receiving written consent for all individuals included in the footage.

3. During/following each mission photographs of each team will be taken. These photographs maybe uploaded to social media sites or utilised for promotional purposes. If selected photographs are utilised then we will endeavour to maintain your anonymity by ensuring that no names or personal details are included.

4. You are not allowed to record, capture, snap or save any photograph, video, film, tape or audio recording whatsoever before, during and after the Pressure Point Escape Rooms escape room game, without the explicit permission of Pressure Point Escape Rooms. If such recording activity is found within the Site, Pressure Point Escape Rooms, including the employee or agent shall reserve the power, authority and consent expressly granted by you to delete, remove or transfer such recording to any device, media or hardware owned by Pressure Point Escape Rooms and the copyright of such recordings will deemed automatically granted by you to Pressure Point Escape Rooms.

Here at Pressure Point Escape Rooms, we take the privacy of your information very seriously.  The aim of this policy is to inform you, our customers, as to what information we keep about you and how we use it. It is important for you to take your time reading our policy so you know exactly where you stand.

How We Collect, Use & Store Your Data

 

At Pressure Point Escape Rooms, the data we collect from you is used for legitimate interests only. What do we mean by this? The information that you provide to us when booking our experience is used solely to make sure our business operation runs smoothly with our customers in mind. For example, knowing who you are, when you are coming to our venue, how many are playing and having correct contact information in the event of a cancellation, late turn up or no show is vital in order for our company to run properly.

Booking With Us

​

It is important for us to share with you that our booking system is not built by us (Pressure Point Escape Rooms). The booking system is built and run by a company called Bookify. We alter certain parts of the booking experience before it goes live to the customer so that it is as relevant to you and us as possible.

 

Upon booking your experience with us, you are redirected to an external page run by Bookify. We require a full name, an email address (so that your confirmation email can be sent to you), a contact telephone number (so that we may get in contact with you in relation to your booking such as late arrivals, no shows etc.) and any relevant payment details.

However, we do not ask for a home address as we simply do not require one.

 

Your payment data is securely processed, encrypted and stored with our payment gateway ‘Stripe’. Please be aware that Pressure Point Escape Rooms management or staff cannot access any of your personal credit/debit card payment details that you make when booking your experience. Your payment data is not stored on any Pressure Point Escape Room computer or server at any point.

 

***Bookify is an extremely common booking system particularly by escape rooms. In fact almost all escape rooms in Kent use Bookify as a booking system.

Additional Payments

 

Often, some customers are required to pay onsite. There are a number of ways in which we take payment onsite depending on the purpose of the payment and the type of payment you provide.

1. If you are an additional player to a group that has already booked then we can take a cash payment or card payment via our iZettle card terminal and software. All card payments are processed, encrypted and secured by iZettle. When paying by cash or card, you will be offered a receipt for your transaction. Our receipts, should you wish to receive one, will be sent via SMS or Email depending on which one you choose. The telephone number or email address you provide is processed and stored securely with iZettle.

 

2. If you purchase a gift voucher onsite then we will process your voucher using Bookify, the same way we process an escape room experience. This is because you will require a confirmation email to be sent to a designated email address for proof of purchase.

Playing Our Rooms

 

CCTV and microphones are in each escape room that you will play. This is always stated to you in your pre-game briefing. This allows us to track your progress and monitor your customer experience. Our CCTV cameras capture video footage of your experience for crime prevention purposes only and is stored securely on our recording equipment. Our recording equipment is physically locked away overnight as an added security measure. Video footage is retained for a short period of time after your experience and then deleted. We do not record any audio.

 

Contacting Us

 

If you make a telephone query, we may ask for a name, contact number and relevant information about your potential booking if you are looking to make one. Your data will be deleted shortly after you query is answered, unless we use the information to process a booking you wish to make.

To optimise your website experience, we may use cookies e.g. Google Analytics to collect your IP address or other device identifier, browser type, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other portable device information. You may refuse cookies at any time using your browser settings and can find out more information about cookies at https://www.aboutcookies.org/. Your data is securely stored with Google Analytics and we'll keep this data as long as we find that it's useful, but within the recommended retention periods.

Subscribing To Our Mailing List

The purpose of our mailing list is to inform you of any new rooms that we are building, any offers/deals for our escape rooms that may be useful or to inform you of any important changes in consumer legislation. We will not use our mailing list for any other purposes such as 3rd party endorsements or selling your information on to other companies.

 

There are 2 ways for you to subscribe to our mailing list:

1. On our ‘About Us’ page on our website, towards the bottom. Fill in your name and email address and click the ‘Subscribe Now’ tab.  This information is stored on Wix (our company’s website builder)

2. Ticking the opt in box on your booking page (just above the Term and Conditions box). This information is stored by Mailchimp on Bookify (our booking system)

 

You are not required to opt in and it is entirely at your discretion whichever option you should choose.

How We Share Your Data

​

We have never or will never sell or rent any of your data to a third party company. However, in order for us to provide our services to you, we share your personal data with our trusted third party service providers, for example Stripe to take payments and Mailchimp to send out marketing emails. In all cases, we will only allow third parties to handle your personal data when we are satisfied of their compliance to data protection and security controls. There may be occasions where we may be legally obligated to share your information with third parties such as the police.

 

Your Rights To Your Data

At the end of the day it’s your personal data so you have every right to know what personal data we hold about you, to request a copy of your personal or ask us to restrict processing or delete it.
